This incident resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
